aleï journal is a biannual publication based in Paris. Since 2016, aleï journal is an independently published magazine, commissioned and directed by its creators, Stas Kalashnikov, Melodie Zagury and Daphne Mookherjee. As an independent magazine displaying photographs, art pieces and essays, its intentions are to showcase personalities of which artistic practices are raw and singular. aleï journal is a collection of artists’ portfolios and interviews, of free writings that range from poetry to fiction, and of numerous series of pictures submitted by international photographers. Each contributor is free to invest their space as they wish to, and the magazine intends to work as an exhibition-edition, a permanent and specific object.
