Balaclava explores the themes of identity, whilst incorporating a garment that completely covers the main area of identification- the face. It also focuses on the representation of the balaclava in our society, and how an article of clothing often viewed as 'threatening' and 'scary' can be shown in a completely different light. This Zine features 3 photoshoots and interviews with 3 models, each presenting a different handmade balaclava. It also includes a research page on the balaclava's history, how it's commonly portrayed, and recent moments in the fashion world and pop culture.
