Luke & Nik - Reconstructed Nature
Presenting a collection of new and unseen photography works, Reconstructed Nature celebrates years of synergy and exchange between artist duo Luke & Nik. Venturing into their respective landscapes in Denmark and in the UK, they comb, gather, reflect, and ramble. Picture by picture, piece by piece, they continue to evolve and reinterpret nature as a duo, progressing in ever-new ways.Uniquely brought together and designed by Tom Booth Woodger, the book features perforated pages which are designed to be torn apart revealing additional imagery and text, encouraging the reader to actively participate in the discovery and exploration of the artworks and their own connection to the natural environment. With accompanying text by the esteemed writer, activist, and guerrilla gardener Ellen Miles, this book includes three
exercises that encourage readers to engage with nature in new and innovative ways. These exercises embrace the essence and approach of Luke and Nik’s interaction with the natural world.
Luke Norman (1988) & Nik Adam (1986) are multidisciplinary artists with a focus on photography & moving image. Their intuitive practice sits somewhere between reality and imagination. Creating work which stimulates dialogue between nature and the senses, driven by a desire to authenticate and explore through visual form. The duo’s portfolio is characterised by special projects, their process-dominant work transcends rigid hierarchies and invites viewers to make their own personal connections. Collaborating across a wide spectrum of projects, from emerging musicians to luxury fashion brands, showcasing their adaptability and versatility as artists.
