El Árbol, owned by Claudia Lovo in partnership with Sasa Sestic since 2016, is a hub of innovation and community in coffee farming. Located on the farm where Claudia and her partner Tim live, it hosts the Bridazul project, fostering knowledge exchange among producers. The farm grows diverse coffee varieties alongside intercrops like ginger, fruits, and vegetables, which support visitors and its 20 employees during harvest. Named after a majestic tree symbolizing its sustainable practices, El Árbol limits chemical inputs and nurtures a thriving ecosystem of humans, animals, and plants. It is also the birthplace of carbonic maceration, a process developed by Claudia and Sasa, with a cold room accessible to other producers for fermentation experiments.
Dark Arts Coffee is a coffee roaster started by friends in East London with twisted visions of using alchemy to combine fire, water and magic beans into a divine elixir.
