This first issue of Contemporary Land investigates Puglia, the Italian region that has changed the rules of tourism in the last twenty years, becoming a true symbol of international contemporaneity.
On the incredible landscape platform, the only piece that emerged from the ancient continent of Great Adria, known as the continent that disappeared after Pangea, trulli and farms, baroque cities and white cities are grafted, which stand out against an unprecedented light.

An intense and hyper-luminous azure blue that contrasts with a powerful land of red brown colors, like the greens of the thousand-year-old olive trees.
And then above all, the warm and special color of the Apulian people.
An experience that has bewitched people from all over the world. To this, so much art, design, craftsmanship, meetings.

But also fashion and recent history. Without rhetoric and without naïveté. From Pino Pascali, one of the great artists of the twentieth century, to Joseph Beuys, who in Puglia built the “Difesa della Natura” and part of his poetics, like the genius of Maria Grazia Chiuri who brings Dior to Lecce with a memorable fashion show, or the magical studio of Mimmo Paladino or Nathalie Du Pasquier, or Michelangelo Pistoletto who with “Love Difference” gives a new vision to the greats of the earth, during the G7 of Borgo Egnazia in Fasano.

And again Carmelo Bene and the Apulian artists, the many art residences and contemporary projects, among museums, trulli and lamia.
And an experimental cuisine that covers the entire region.

And still so much fashion that has grown under this sun, or the companies and artists of design as well as ceramics. And that fil rouge, between one house and another, between one meeting and another, always discreet and full of poetry. Casual and unexpected meetings under the Apulian sky.
