This book is dedicated to Grandpa Dario and his friend Kaneko, from Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan-and to their story of friendship and to the exchange of letters and small gifts that kept them connected for years. In every envelope or package, dozens of Japanese phone cards travelled hidden in small rice paper sleeves. The kittens portraited on these cards crossed continents and seas to join the collection of Luciano-Dario’s grandson-in Vergato, Bologna, Italy.
