Zero No Shōten - David Turner

"A stark, high-contrast visual exploration of the industrial-era architecture across Liverpool, Manchester, and Salford. Drawing inspiration from Seicho Matsumoto’s 1959 noir classic, Zero Focus, this inaugural volume abstracts the North West's urban structures into dystopian, monolithic geometries; crushing shadows into deep black-points and capturing harsh, punctuated sunlight.

Designed in the style of mid-20th-century Japanese technical manuals (referencing vintage documentation from Nikon, Seiko, and Fujica), the layout grounds itself in the concept of monozukuri - the pursuit of craftsmanship, precision, and engineering excellence.

Includes reference tables featuring architect and engineer details for each location, as well as exposure and focus values for the 1959 Nikon F when loaded with Ilford HP5 and Kodak Tri-X 400 film stocks.

Printed on tactile 170gsm uncoated stock ensuring zero black-ink bleed."
