Come and meet our friends from Vitsœ, makers of long-living furniture (including our 606 Universal Shelving System). Vitsœ’s team will be on hand to talk about living better, with less… that lasts longer — and the power of good design.

From July 3rd to July 5th, we are thrilled to welcome Vitsœ’s friendly planners back to our store, where you can meet them, have a conversation about furniture design, and even plan a shelving system together. Tickets are not required to meet with the planners during the residency.

What is a Vitsœ Planner?

Whether you’re placing your first order or considering a change in your living space, each shelving system from Vitsœ is meticulously planned to meet your specific needs by a dedicated personal designer called a ‘planner.’ Vitsœ’s planners encourage conscious consumption by suggesting buying only what you truly require initially and adding more later if necessary. Best of all, this service is completely free of charge, with no obligation to purchase.

In conversation: The intelligent design behind Dieter Rams’s 620 Chair Programme 

On Thursday, the 3rd of July, join us for a talk between 17:30 - 19:00. Daniel Calderbank has spent over 12 years at Vitsœ, bringing a deep wealth of knowledge to the table. As Vitsœ's custodian, he is entrusted with safeguarding Vitsœ’s valuable assets, both intellectual and physical. Daniel will be in conversation with Ian Lidgbird who builds Vitsœ’s 620 chairs and brings along his background in design and furniture making. This is a unique chance to delve into the world of Vitsœ and in particular the design secrets behind Dieter Rams’s 620 Chair Programme.
